Long hair. Country roots. A lifetime inside machines.

My family operated an aquaculture and catfish farm. Farm life is a practical education: pumps, wiring, motors, water, weather and machinery all have to cooperate, and excuses do not keep anything running.

Technology was part of the family too. My father retired after 33 years working in electronics at Robins Air Force Base, and my mother worked at Robins in supply and logistics. From them I learned both sides of reliable operations—the technical knowledge to repair the system and the planning required to have the right part in the right place.

I was interested in electronics and computers long before they became my job. By the 1990s, I was helping build and operate a regional Internet service provider. My career later included Cisco networking for Georgia public-safety agencies, electronic security installation, traveling electronic-lock projects, and more than 16 years supporting servers, networks, communications, copiers and customer environments at Middle Georgia Business Products.

That foundation led to a Restaurant Systems Manager role supporting 19 Applebee’s locations across Georgia and Alabama. The work was fast, distributed and unforgiving of downtime—the kind of environment where calm troubleshooting, clear communication and willingness to get in the truck still matter.

I still build and experiment after hours: Linux and Docker servers, network video, web tools, electronics, radio systems and home automation. I am FCC amateur radio operator KM4AUG. Curiosity is not a hobby I grew out of.

I am not afraid to open the box, trace the wire or own the problem.
